Dennis Neat, Pool Director and Head Swim Coach

Dennis Neat brings 20 years of high school coaching to Watermark this summer, as he is the current Forest Hills Northern-Eastern Women’s Co-Op head coach and the Northern-Central-Eastern Men’s Co-Op head coach. Dennis is currently employed by Forest Hills Public Schools and works at Northern Trails 5/6 building where he works in the schools Computer Lab.

Besides his high school coaching experience, Coach Neat has worked with the RAYS YMCA Age Group program (1995-current), Assistant Coach for the former Grand Rapids Community College Men’s and Women’s swimming team (1986-87), Assistant Coach for Grand Rapids Union high school (1985-86), Aquatics Director and head age group coach at Cascade Country Club (summers 1986-88).

A 1984 graduate of Ball State University (Muncie, Indiana), Dennis earned his B.S. Degree in Physical Education. He is currently a member of the United States Swimming, the American Swim Coaches Association, the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association and the Michigan Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association. Dennis and his wife Barb have two children, Douglas (19) and Bridget (14).
