MEN:

• Event day includes lunch, dinner and either a 2 or 4 person team event.  Allows members to form teams with other members or invite guests to the Club for a special fun day of golf & food. Generally 100-120 participate.

• Season long match play tournament where all players are flighted by handicap & set up their own 18-hole matches

Men’s League:

• Thursday late afternoon 9-hole two man partnership.  Form a two man team with another member and play a 9-hole match each Thursday from early May through late August.  Late June & late August barbecue dinners included.

• Showcase event of the season!!  Two man flighted match play event spread over two days of play. Special contests & dinners included. Fantastic opportunity to invite a guest and spend some great time at your Club

• Two man team event with 3 different formats; 9-hole Scramble & 18-best ball on Friday, 18-hole two man total net on Saturday.  Fabulous Saturday night theme oriented function from western night to Vegas night.

Men’s Wilson Cup Stableford Tournament:

August

• Stableford Tournament:  Unique Stableford scoring where every hole is scored using point values for “net” pars, birdies, eagles, etc.  This is a 36 hole individual event that is flighted into 3 groups by handicap.

WOMEN:

• 18-hole group plays in the morning and the 9-hole group plays in the evening after 5:00pm.  Each week is a stand alone event that allows the women to sign up for each week separately, based on your schedule of availability.  Great opportunity to get out and play with friends, or meet new ones as players sign up either with requests or individually.

• Fun, theme oriented events with several different formats. Opening event in May and the closing event in September are formembers only but the June “Black & White theme event with scramble, best ball & alternate shot all in one day and the August flighted two person scramble, allow members to team up with other members or take the opportunity to invite a guest to spend the day with you at your Club.  All these events have a fabulous dinner, that fits with the theme of the day.

Women’s Williamson Cup:

• Flighted MATCH PLAY.  Women rarely get the opportunity to participate in golf’s oldest format so the women of Watermark created this event.  Match play is a golf event where you play against a specific opponent and attempt to beat them by winning more holes, but not worrying about your actual total score for the round.

SENIORS:

• Tuesday’s & Thursday’s from early May through early October, the senior men(generally about 60+ and “mostly” retired) of Watermark get together for 18-holes and lunch.  Each day the names go in the hat, and the teams come out.  The guys play for a few “sheckles” but it’s more about getting out and socializing with the guys.

• Annual golf and luncheon held for all the 50+ year old members of Watermark. Three divisions for both men & women: Seniors(50-59), Super Seniors(60-69), legends (70+). Prizes awarded for the low gross score in each Division along with the best low net scores. A great day of golf that is finished off with a fabulous lunch and dessert.

Senior Men’s Spring & Fall Classics:

• 18-hole two man team events with dinner.  Members team up with another member or take the opportunity to invite a guest to spend the afternoon & evening with you at the Club.  Prizes and raffles finish off the day.

JUNIORS:

• Junior Golf Summer Program:  Watermark has an extensive junior golf summer program for both the boys and girls of the Club.  The program runs from mid-June through early August on Tuesday’s.  Each day is a 1 hour clinic taught by the PGA Professional group & the long time, now retired, golf coach from Forest Hills, Dan Pupel.  The intermediate & advanced groups go out onto the golf course following their clinic.  Parents of beginners are greatly encouraged to spend alternate time with their children working on their “lessons”. 

• Parent-Child Tourney & Swim Party:  Not much more you could ask for on this day.  Golf with mom or dad, pizza, ice cream & swimming!!  9-hole golf event where one parent & one child team up for an alternate shot event.  All players head to the pool following the golf for a fun evening together.

• Junior Club Championship:  Boys & Girls Divisions, 9 or 18 holes.  The “kids” of Watermark tee it up in an “official” tournament.  Trophy’s and pictures for the winners “board”

COUPLES:

• • Saturday afternoon, 9-hole couples events:  Casual, social events that allow couples to get together and “just play golf”.  Couples can sign up as a twosome and be paired with another couple or you can invite another couple to join you.  Events are for members only and usually followed by “supper” in the Grille.

• Couples Club Championship:  Saturday or Labor Day weekend, every year, the couples of Watermark gather for 18 holes and dinner to determine the “Champion Couple of the Year”.  Event is fully handicapped so players of ALL ability levels have a chance to win the Title.
